bondee!

The DIY handprint is held in the hand during a video call.

A touch of love.

That’s exactly how a bondee – your DIY handprint – can be described. With its silky-soft, skin-like texture, a bondee gives way slightly when pressed, making it feel particularly pleasant to the touch. Our DIY handprint has a texture similar to that of modelling clay and a soft bouncing ball.

Once the bondee has set, the DIY handprint remains flexible but can no longer be moulded.
Why not give it a go? Our customers are always delighted by the surprisingly pleasant sensation in their hands!

“When my son made a bondee for his dad as a present, he didn’t want to give it back. He thought it was great to hold his own hand. The bondee now also accompanies my son to sleep – and for the first time he seems to have found something that calms him down!”

“My mother has been very ill for a long time. She keeps having to go to hospital, where she spends most of her time alone. I can’t visit her every day because of work, but we made bondees with all her grandchildren when we last visited Grandma. So now she always has her loved ones on the bedside table and we have her bondees with us.”

My husband’s handprint has been in my handbag for ages. Somewhere in the depths…and every time I’m looking for something, it falls into my hand. And that’s really nice – such an unexpected, in-between press!

    It makes me focus somehow.

“It’s amazing how something as small as the imprint of my own hand can make such a big difference to my mental state. I have one on my desk, and when I have a lot of studying to do, I reach for it every now and then. It kind of makes me focus….very cool.”

    It’s already really worn out.

“I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 1.5 years. My boyfriend’s bondee is now my new shrine and I always have it with me! It’s really worn out, but somehow it’s also a nice sign of how much I miss him. I think I’ll have to make a new one on my next visit…;-)

  • My 99 year old mother.

    My 99 year old mother.

I made an impression with my 99 year old mother. The mass was not too sticky, I mixed it and kneaded it. She was a little tense and clenched her hands tightly. She ignored the fact that this wasn’t necessary, or rather her biography came through. She was used to gripping firmly .”

Your handprint: Always at hand for a small dose of strength.

A dear customer once called her bondee an “emotion regulator to go”. We really liked that and have not been able to describe it any better since.

Frequently asked questions about the handprint

How long do I need to mix the two components for the DIY handprint?

Depending on the version, you will need to knead the two components for either 2 minutes (DIY handprint) or 1 minute (DIY paw print).
Both components must be kneaded thoroughly and quickly until a streak-free, homogeneous mixture is produced. With coloured DIY handprint sets, this can be recognised by the even colour. With a white set, please knead for as long as specified in the instructions.

How long does the DIY handprint moulding compound keep in the pots?

The product has a shelf life of at least 1 year when stored in unopened containers at room temperature (5–23°C). It may last longer.

Can I use one spoon to remove both components?

At the slightest contact between the two components, there is a risk that they will harden in the jars. It is therefore advisable to use 2 separate spoons to remove the mixture. If you start kneading straight away, then of course 1 spoon is also fine!
