Catharina Bond
Founder and mastermind Catharina Bond has often attracted negative attention with her wrinkled hands.
During the corona period, however, she realized that it is precisely these many wrinkles that look great on a plasticine print.
Anja Frei
Anja Frei has been with the company since it was founded and works in marketing, communication and customer service. She studied marketing and design. She doesn’t have any wrinkles
yet. Especially not on her hands.
How did the founding idea come about?
“Locally, our story begins in London; temporally, it has its origins in the middle of the pandemic. During my time at the Royal College of Art, I worked with 3D prints of palms.
Due to the great distance to my family in Vienna and a tragic corona death in my circle of friends, I realized the great value a simple touch from a loved one can have. And so I began to cast the palms of my loved ones’ hands in a special modeling clay so that I could always carry them with me.
What helped me the most during this difficult time, I also wanted to make possible for others. From then on, it was just a small mental leap to turn a temporary art project into something that could bring people who love each other closer together and be a support and companion in their everyday lives.”

Why is Hearts in Hands modelling clay better than clay, plaster or other modelling materials?
Our material is manufactured specifically for us in Germany and offers unique advantages:
– The material does not need to be softened or mixed with water. Ready to use straight away!
– It cures in your hand in four minutes without leaving any residue. No stinging sensation and no long drying time required!
– The handprint is soft, warm, yields to pressure and feels like skin.

– The handprint cannot break and retains its shape forever.
– Easy to clean with soap and warm water.
– It leaves no paint stains or crumbs.

What is the shelf life of the mixture in the jars of a gift set?
The mixture can be stored in unopened containers at room temperature (5-23 °C) for about one year. Longer storage is possible.
Why does the gift set contain two spoons?
Even the slightest contact between the two components can cause them to harden in the pots. We therefore recommend using two separate spoons to remove the mixture. Of course, if you start kneading immediately, one spoon is enough!
